The GKTECH 240sx solid subframe bushings are a direct replacement of the standard bushings and ensure that movement of the subframe is kept to a minimum.

They eliminate axle tramp whilst also raising the subframe 0.59" (15mm) which helps to correct the roll center on lowered vehicles.

- CNC Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum
- 4 Piece Set

Shims to suit GTR models can be seen here: Subframe bush spacer shims (set of 4)

FAQs

What's involved in installing these solid bushings?
You'll need to remove your subframe and then your standard bushings. There's a few ways to remove the standard bushings which option you choose is up to you (google is your friend). Once you've got the standard bushings removed you need to press fit the new bushings in their place.

TIP: put the bushings in the freezer for a few hours before installing them. This will shrink them slightly to make things a little easier.

What’s the advantage of these bushings?
The solid bushings offer a more solid rear end = better driver control and feel and also raise the subframe to help correct the roll center on lowered vehicles.

Do these cause much vibration/noise in the cabin?
Not really. Obviously anything solid or more rigid is going to cause an increase in noise and vibration however I'd hardly say that it's noticeable. Chances are if you're installing these you've already got coilovers, your car is lowered, you've got an aftermarket exhaust etc. etc.

Do these bushings change the height of the subframe?
Yes, they raise the subframe and raising the subframe improves the roll center

Half job GK tech

The solid mounts shouldn’t really be for a z32 even though they say they are for them. The mount finishes short 10mm with the top of the sun frame. When contacting GK tech they knew about this and advised me to pack it out with something or get a washer machined, if they know about it why not sell an option to supply the 10mm washer, to me it is half a job and am unhappy with it as now it is my issue to resolve. When asked for a refund I was told to remove and send back for a refund, because getting out solid bushes are easy thing to do. Won’t ever use GK tech again.

Hi Alexander, sorry to hear you're unhappy but there is no need for your concern. Regardless of the bush sitting 10mm short of the top of the subframe, the bush by design MUST be short of the top of the subframe. The subframe is to be hard mounted against the chassis, not the bush. Whether that's a few mm's (on an S/R chassis subframe) or 10mm on a Z32 subframe, it's irrelevant. Yes, we did offer you a full refund as a gesture of good will. Sorry that you were unhappy with that outcome.
