The Z33 and Z34 OEM diff cover uses a single stud at the rear which is prone to breakage in high grip/hp setups. We make a diff brace which does help but a dual stud cover is the ideal solution.

What you see here is a CNC Machined 6061-T6 aluminum extended diff cover with dual studs, support for a diff cooler, it's baffled (very important for grip applications) and with an additional 600cc of capacity.

This item is primarily useful for track use however it is also a very attractive item. From under the rear bumper the diff cover will stand out quite a bit. Our CNC machined billet diff covers are the original and have been making rear subframes pop since 2012.

- High quality billet aluminium 6061-T6 construction
- Baffle plate, new studs and new plugs included
- Available in 10 different flavours; black, silver, raw aluminium (uncoated), gold, blue, pink, purple, neo chrome, red or orange.
- Bolt in or weld in secondary diff bush included.

Note: S/R-chassis people with Z33/Z34 diffs, please select the Z33 diff cover when ordering. If you don't have our conversion bushings already you will need to purchase them and in this listing select the diff bushing option "Z33/Z34 diff conversion secondary bush (for S14/S15 subframe)"

FAQs

Will this fit my car?
We can only confirm fitment for the vehicles listed above under "vehicle compatibility". Note that the difference between Z33 and Z34 specific versions is based on the subframe. Z33 350z version is to suit an aluminum subframe and the Z34 370z version is to suit a steel subframe.

Do you make these to suit other cars?
We have these to suit the S13 4 bolt subframe, S14/S15/R33/R34 2 bolt subframe, Z33 350z and Z34 370z. We unfortunately don't offer these for any other vehicles at present.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech extended diff cover?
This beautiful piece of engineering provides an extra 600cc capacity over the standard cover, incorporates a secondary diff stud and has the provision for an external cooler. This extra capacity helps regulate diff oil reducing wear of your LSD/bearings.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?
The secondary diff bush must be installed using our template. It's pretty straight forward and so long as you have a standard sized holesaw, and a welder if opting for the weld in bush, it's easy.

Is there anything else needed for installation?
No, the secondary diff bush is included, diff studs are included along with all plugs, breather etc.

Will this diff cover work with a car that has 4WS?
No, this cover won't fit a 4WS subframe.

Can I use this cover in conjunction with the OEM diff bushing?
It is not recommended and we would advise strongly against it. Using a secondary diff stud is really advantegous in helping get power to the ground. If you were to have 1 bush solid mounted and the other as the OEM rubber bushing, the loads would be unqeual and would put unnecessary load on the cover. A Polyurethane bushing may be ok but we do recommend the use of a solid primary bush (which we do have available separately)

Can I use this diff cover if I've done a Z33/Z34 diff conversion in my S-chassis?
You can, please select the Z34 diff cover option when ordering. If you don't have our conversion bushes already you will need to purchase them and in this listing select the diff bush option "Z33/Z34 diff conversion secondary bush (for S14/S15 subframe)"

Beautiful Diff Cover

I have not yet to finished modifying my S13 subframe for install, but I can't wait to see it on the car. One issue though, going through the associated hardware the 8 bolts that attach the cover to the differential seem to be missing.

Hi Matyas, sorry to hear that the bolts were missing. If you reach out to the guys in customer service they will be able to assist in getting you replacements.

Good Product!

My 350z has gk arms front and rear with the lock kit, installed this diff cover the other day and took it for a rip after. Handled great, no more axle tramp from what i can tell. Looks killer too.

Beautiful piece, a few minor issues tho

Overall I really love this diff cover. I ordered mine in raw and it looks fantastic. I’m using this to stuff a z33 diff in a s13 with s14 subframe.

When you go to install it, test fit the cover by itself, without the rest of the diff bolted to it. This will help you align the metal bushings where they need to be, before installing them into the subframe. Initially I froze my bushings overnight, but still couldn’t get them pressed into the subframe, so I spend a few minutes on the belt sander taking off a little material at a time, until I could get the bushings installed in the subframe, and aligned properly to mate with the diff cover. Anti-seize helped too. My subframe is still installed on the car. If your subframe is removed already, the job will def be easier.

One thing that concerns me, the cooling fins on the bottom of the diff cover hang down quite a ways below the pumpkin, and since they’re squared off at the front edge, could potentially catch or hang up on something. Under normal driving this probably won’t be an issue, however I go drifting quite a bit and dirt drops do happen. I might shave the fins down a bit at least on the leading edge to keep them from hanging up on anything.

Overall I still give it a 9 out of 10. It’s nicer than the Z1 diff cover that I had before, and the second stud is definitely a great idea. Optional colors are never a bad thing, and I’ll probably end up ordering another one for my m45 when the time comes to put a 2 way in that car.
