The GKTECH R33 GTS-T Skyline 5 speed short shifter is a direct replacement of the standard item and helps reduce the shifter throw by around 10% which helps increase shift time and also makes everything feel much tighter. The shifter itself is also 10mm shorter and has an added weight at the top for more feel.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech short shifter ?
By installing an aftermarket short shifter you are not only reducing the time between gearshifts but also increasing the feel of your transmission. 

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?
No modifications are required, simply just remove and refit.

Is there anything else needed for installation?
No, you will need your OEM hardware, however, in terms of the shifter itself it will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself?
Yes, provided you have general mechanical knowledge it is very straight forward.

Easy once i worked it out

The kit GKTech provides is excellent. My car was a bit confusing because it had a previously installed ebay short shifter so there wasn’t any circlips but worked it out and feels great.

Works perfect

Super happy with GKtech and their R33 GTST short shifter. My only complaint is the amount of noise it makes. I know short shifters make noise but this seems like more than it should. Other than that works perfect and feels alot more solid.

Hi James, if the noise is a little too much to bear you can use an OEM plastic bushing with our shifter to help dampen it. The solid bushings used do make for a more direct feel but being metal on metal can introduce some noise.
